When Bodies Have Challenges

Here is your Great Body Shop booklet.

Please click on the PDF to engage.

Goal:

Read the four stories about students with physical and mental challenges, from your booklet.

Choose one student. Answer these questions in complete and meaningful sentences.

1. What is the special need of the student you choose?

2. Describe what the physical problem(s) is with their bodies.

How does it change their life?

Does it make it harder or easier for them to do daily tasks or activities?

3. What are somethings that the student can't do?

What are somethings that the student can do better than you?

4. If you have/had a physical or mental challenge, how would you want your peers/friends/classmates to treat you?

5. What can you do to be a good friend to that student with a mental or physical challenge?

What activities could you both do together?

How would activities be modified so everyone could join in?

Please upload or share your work with me. Thank you.

Here are three different videos.

They are about kids and adults that are doing outdoor activities, better then some of us...

Think about the challenges these people have overcome?

What could be changed or created to assist people that may have a disability?
